Sambuca Pavilion

Tucked inside Heaton Park, our Pavilion is one of the loveliest spots in Newcastle for lunch or dinner. The Victorian Pavilion and its terrace have looked out over the park since 1880. On a sunny day there’s nowhere better to sit back, watch the world go by and enjoy the view.

Make a day of it. Stroll the footpaths through to Armstrong Park, Ouseburn Park and Jesmond Dene, let the little ones loose in the play areas, or seek out the ruins of King John’s Palace. Then come and join us for stone-baked pizzas, pasta, grills and seafood, with a set lunch or a proper Sunday dinner for the whole family.

It’s a small restaurant with a big welcome. Whether you’re stopping after a walk in the park, catching up with friends on the terrace or gathering everyone round the table on a Sunday, there’s always a seat for you at the Pavilion.
